Installer/Trainer Part Time
About The Position
CaptionCall is seeking a caring, customer-service-oriented Installer/Trainer to help people with hearing loss communicate with the world. This hands-on role involves individually training customers in their homes to use the CaptionCall phone and its features. The position offers a flexible schedule and independent work, and is part-time with potential for career growth and advancement. Compensation includes an hourly rate of $12.22–$19.52, depending on location and relevant experience, plus piece-rate incentives of $25 per successful installation, $25 per successful priority service call, and $15 per successful service call. Travel is less than 25%. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and involves access to highly confidential information, which must be kept strictly confidential.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English through reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to drive and travel by air as needed.
- Ability to tailor service to the unique needs of individual customers.
- Reliability, organization, and punctuality.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information in strict confidence.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in an office environment.
- Hand and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and tools, and handle other computer components.
- Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot CaptionCall phones.
- Courteously train customers to use the phone and its features.
- Promote the CaptionCall service.
- Create lead-generation activities and generate referrals.
- Attend and participate in trade shows and other corporate events as assigned.
- Guide other CaptionCall activities and make recommendations for expanding the breadth and reach of the business.
- Recruit and refer potential Installer/Trainer candidates to support local installations and events.
- Complete service calls as assigned.
- Accurately maintain customer records.
- Complete required reports and submit invoices and feedback on customer interactions.
- Retrieve and clean phones of former customers.
- Maintain adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to service customers.
- Adapt to new responsibilities as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
