About The Position

Installation Technicians install and activate broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services in customers’ homes and businesses. They work independently as trusted customer-facing experts, installing technology, troubleshooting problems, and helping customers connect to the services they need. The work varies from installing new lines and climbing ladders to connecting and activating Wi-Fi networks. AT&T provides extensive training, resources, and ongoing paid training in a collaborative team environment, with opportunities to continue learning and pursue other career paths. The position is regular, with 40 weekly hours, and is located in Wilmington, California. Hourly pay ranges from $21.97 to $35.65; average starting earnings are stated as $58,824 per year. Individual starting pay may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education or training.

Requirements

Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Possess a valid state driver’s license.
Be able to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
Weigh less than 325 pounds for ladder safety.
Be able to work in small spaces and at heights up to 28 feet.
Be available for overtime, emergency callouts, and holiday work.
Be able to identify wire and cable colors.
Qualify on pre-employment assessments.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
