About The Position

The Residential Installation Technician evaluates customers’ needs, designs and installs security systems, and educates customers on how to use their systems. The position involves visiting customers at their homes or businesses and working collaboratively with customers and coworkers to provide solutions.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to determine the optimal system and equipment for their needs.
• Install equipment and test its operation to ensure proper functionality and the signal reception required to establish service.
• Evaluate information provided and work with customers to provide the best possible solution for their location.
• Identify opportunities to improve the use and functionality of customers’ systems and make recommendations.
• Follow safety practices to prevent injury and property damage.
• Prevent the loss of unused materials, ladders, and tools at job sites or office locations.
• Collect debris, patch holes, and clean the site, leaving it as nice as or better than it was before work began.
• Perform other duties needed to support the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
• Educate customers on using their systems.
