About The Position

Installation Technicians install and activate high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services at customers’ homes and businesses. They work independently as trusted experts, helping customers connect to the services and technology that matter to them. The work varies day to day and may include installing new lines, climbing ladders, and setting up and activating Wi-Fi networks. The role is based in Carson City, Nevada, with 40 weekly hours and a regular schedule. AT&T provides extensive training, resources, and ongoing paid training to support continued learning and career growth.

Requirements

Valid state driver’s license.
Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
Weigh less than 325 pounds for ladder safety.
Ability to work in small spaces or aloft, up to 28 feet.
Ability to identify wire and cable colors.
Qualify on pre-employment assessments.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Install and activate broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services at customer homes and businesses.
Install new lines and set up and activate Wi-Fi networks.
Climb ladders and work in small spaces or at heights as needed.
Provide customer service and solve problems during installations.
Work independently in the field.
Be available for overtime, emergency callouts, and holiday work.
