About The Position

The Residential Installation Technician evaluates customers’ needs, identifies suitable security systems and equipment, installs and tests equipment, and educates customers on how to use their systems. The role involves visiting customers at their homes or businesses and providing solutions in collaboration with customers and coworkers. Technicians also recommend ways to improve system use and functionality, follow safety practices, safeguard equipment and materials, and leave each work site clean and in good condition.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to determine the optimal system and equipment for their needs.
• Install and test equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal reception required to establish service.
• Evaluate information provided and work with customers to find the best solution for their location.
• Identify opportunities to improve the use and functionality of customers’ systems and provide recommendations.
• Follow safety practices to help prevent injury and property damage.
• Prevent loss of unused materials, ladders, and tools at job sites or office locations.
• Collect debris, patch holes, and clean the site, leaving it as nice as or better than it was before work began.
• Perform other duties needed to support the company’s vision, mission, and values.
• Visit customers at their homes or businesses and work collaboratively with customers and coworkers.
