About The Position

The Residential Installation Technician evaluates customers’ needs, recommends and installs suitable security systems and equipment, tests system functionality and signal reception, and educates customers on using their systems. The role serves residential and business customers by visiting their locations and providing installation solutions. Technicians work collaboratively with customers and coworkers in a dynamic environment, follow safety practices, protect equipment and materials, and leave each work site clean and in good condition.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school degree or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Installation experience preferred.
• Electronic Trade School training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to determine the optimal system and equipment for their needs.
• Install equipment and test its operation to ensure proper functionality and required signal reception.
• Evaluate information about the customer’s location and work with the customer to provide an appropriate solution.
• Identify opportunities to improve the use and functionality of customers’ systems and make recommendations.
• Follow safety practices to help prevent injury and property damage.
• Prevent the loss of unused materials, ladders, and tools at job sites and office locations.
• Collect debris, patch holes, and clean the work site, leaving it as nice as or better than it was before work began.
• Perform other duties needed to support the company’s vision, mission, and values.
• Educate customers on how to use their systems.
