About The Position

The Install Manager is responsible for the installation side of the HVAC business and directly supervises employees in the Installation Department. The role oversees installation operations, employee performance, customer service, job readiness, scheduling, materials, equipment, documentation, and coordination among installation crews, field supervisors, customers, vendors, and the office. The manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. The position is based at Brennan Heating in Lynnwood, Washington, with regular travel between the company and job sites in King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, and Island counties. Travel is primarily during normal business hours. The role frequently involves outdoor work, variable or uncomfortable weather and temperatures, and occasional wet, snowy, hot, or humid conditions. Work may also take place in dark, confined crawl spaces and attics, as well as office-like environments. Physical demands range from light to heavy work and include safely helping lift heavy equipment, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, bending, crawling, kneeling, and lifting more than 100 pounds at a time. This is an exempt, full-time position. Work hours are determined by business needs, and extended hours or weekends may be required. The stated salary range is $130,000 to $135,000.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of basic carpentry, gas piping, electricity, and airflow.
Working knowledge of local codes and general industry standards.
Strong supervisory, communication, computer, and mathematical skills.
Strong time-management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with problem-solving and analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.
Minimum of 5 years of previous HVAC experience as an Install Manager.
Ability to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods, bend, crawl, kneel, and lift more than 100 pounds at a time.
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, uncomfortable temperatures, occasional wet, snowy, hot, or humid conditions, and confined crawl spaces and attics.

Responsibilities

Train and coach installers to ensure they exceed customer service standards.
Hold monthly installation meetings and communicate new initiatives and policies in a timely manner.
Participate in biweekly management team meetings to discuss current issues and solutions.
Recruit, interview, and hire installation employees who embody company values.
Manage daily scheduling operations and ensure jobs are ready for installation.
Contact customers about scheduling issues and schedule subcontractors and inspections.
Coordinate communication among installers, field supervisors, customers, vendors, and the office.
Supervise and delegate installation employees, including hiring, disciplining, scheduling, counseling, training, evaluating performance, and overseeing assignments.
Ensure materials and equipment are ordered for scheduled jobs.
Stay in touch with installation crews and assist with unexpected needs.
Ensure employees have appropriate tools for their jobs and that tools are properly maintained.
Verify that each job is completed and that required documentation and payments have been received.
Resolve customer issues and problems encountered by installation personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Interview and train employees, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.
Travel regularly between Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning and job sites in the listed counties.
