About The Position

Lezzer Lumber is hiring an Inside Salesperson to attain sales and gross margin objectives across product categories by serving contractor, DIY, and/or commercial accounts. The role focuses on building business-partnership relationships, recommending products and service efficiencies, preparing quotes and material estimates, and coordinating customer orders and deliveries. The position is based at the Manheim Store in Manheim, Pennsylvania.

Moderate analytical skill, reasoning ability, and critical-thinking skills.
Working knowledge of materials and associated estimating techniques.
Knowledge of the mathematics involved in pricing and estimating, including mark-up, gross-margin calculation, square-footage and area calculation, and perimeter.
High energy, ability to make an early impact, and high integrity.
PC literacy.

Responsibilities

Sell to and service established contractor, DIY, and/or commercial accounts.
Build business-partnership relationships with accounts.
Recommend products, productivity improvements, and service efficiencies to cultivate account relationships.
Provide customers with bids or quotes and material estimates for various material packages.
Maintain limited pricing flexibility within guidelines established by the Location Manager.
Improve sales volume and gross margins.
Source and order special-order products for personal accounts.
Assist walk-in customers.
Prepare sales invoices.
Perform cashier duties for customers.
Coordinate timely delivery of materials for account orders.
Inform the Location Manager or Assistant Manager of customer material and service needs and competitive marketplace price levels.
