About The Position
This entry-level sales role supports the DIY business and helps achieve sales and service objectives. The Salesperson has knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, store inventory and maintenance processes, and can source products from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. The position may be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Ability to speak and write English, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Ability to use a delivery board system, locate and stock parts, operate inventory systems and store equipment, and use POS and parts lookup systems.
- Safety knowledge and skills, basic automotive system and parts knowledge, and ability to use testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.

Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers in person and by phone.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
- Provide DIY services, including battery installation and testing and wiper installation.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Manage inventory processes, including truck put-away, shootouts, cycle counts, and back stock.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, product facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
- Perform general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
