About The Position

The Salesperson is an entry-level sales position supporting the DIY business and helping achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, sourcing from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, and store inventory and maintenance processes. The position may be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
• Speak and write English and communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management; Spanish is a plus.
• Build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Demonstrate basic driving and navigation ability.
• Use a delivery board system.
• Locate and stock parts.
• Demonstrate safety knowledge and skills.
• Operate inventory systems, store equipment, POS systems, parts lookup systems, and testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
• Possess parts and automotive system knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent selling experience during DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services, including battery installation and testing and wiper installation.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes, including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Perform general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
