About The Position
HD Fowler Company is seeking a full-time Inside Salesperson, Waterworks for its North Plains, Oregon branch. The role serves external and internal customers and includes completing and tracking material takeoffs for project bids. The position supports customers and outside sales staff with orders, product selection, quotes, equipment rentals, returns, bids, and project coordination. The listed starting pay is $24.84 per hour, with pay dependent on experience. Working hours are primarily Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.; overtime may be required, generally during the busy season. HD Fowler is a family-owned distributor of water and wastewater solutions that has been in business for over 100 years. Requirements
- Customer service or wholesale supply background required.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work overtime when required, generally during the busy season.
Nice To Haves
- Industry and estimating experience preferred.
- Computer and mechanical aptitude preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers courteously in person and by telephone by writing orders, facilitating returns, renting equipment, and providing quotes.
- Assist with product selection and inquiries, problem solving, and obtaining non-stock material.
- Estimate, quote, and manage customer timelines and projects.
- Support outside sales staff with order writing, customer contact, job and pending-order management, and coordination of customer product receipt.
- Complete accurate and thorough material takeoffs.
- Assist in managing bids.
- Participate in continuing education and learn about product and material applications.
