About The Position

Responsible for generating revenue by promoting sales of new and existing company products, providing customer service, evaluating customer needs, and answering questions regarding parts, pricing, and services. The role provides information on warranties, prices, part quality, delivery times, and payment methods; completes transaction documentation; develops potential customer relationships; processes and follows up on orders; and advises customers about substitutes or modifications when requested parts are unavailable. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and draw and interpret graphs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, and keep simple records.
• Ability to explain and provide guidance on routine procedures.
• Ability to follow clear directions and procedures to solve routine, somewhat repetitive problems.
• Ability to prioritize and appropriately handle assigned and routine tasks.

Nice To Haves

• College coursework or degree.
• Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide information on warranties, prices, part quality, delivery times, and payment methods.
• Complete transaction documents, including credits, invoices, work orders, interchange documents, and returns.
• Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers to cultivate new business.
• Inform customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and other needed information.
• Advise customers on substitute or modified parts when requested parts are unavailable.
• Process orders, including order entry and review for correct handling, pricing, quantities, and shipping data; dispatch orders in some locations.
• Follow up with customers as needed.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
