About The Position

Wolseley Canada is the leading wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC/R, waterworks and industrial products in the country. Wolseley Waterworks is a division of Wolseley Canada and is a national leader in providing engineered waterworks products and services to the mining, heavy industrial, forestry, and municipal water projects. As an Inside Sales Representative, your responsibilities include supporting inbound inquiries and sales orders, ensuring processing and delivery meet customers’ requirements. This role involves building strong relationships and supporting critical industries that touch the lives of Canadians.

Requirements

  • Computer literate; experience with AS400 systems is considered a strong asset.
  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Must pass a satisfactory criminal record check.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Previous inside sales, counter sales, or other sales-related experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with engineered waterworks products and industry knowledge preferred.
  • Strong understanding of waterworks products, applications, and customer requirements.
  • Valid tow-motor/forklift certification is an asset.
  • Fluency in both French and English would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Completing the order process which includes offering pricing terms according to established margins; sourcing of additional products; and generating sales orders.
  • Accurately entering quotations and orders into the system.
  • Ensuring customers are provided with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information.
  • Making sales calls to new and existing customers to maintain relationships and cultivate additional business.
  • Preparing quotations and processing orders on behalf of outside sales staff.
  • Responding to customers' requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Achieving sales targets and objectives as set by the manager.
  • Understanding customer needs and promoting and upselling products.
  • Assisting customers at the counter and providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic branch environment.
  • Supporting warehouse operations as required, including receiving, picking, packing, and inventory-related activities.
  • Operating material handling equipment in a safe manner, including tow-motors/forklifts where certified.
  • Utilizing AS400 and other internal systems to process orders, track inventory, and support branch operations.
  • Adhering to company safety policies and regulations.
