About The Position

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to work as part of the Rental Team. The role coordinates customer requests for equipment rentals and helps customers select the equipment needed for their tasks. The representative builds relationships with current and prospective customers in person, by telephone, and by email; manages rental orders and coordinates with other departments for timely fulfillment; and communicates accurate quotes and order updates to salespeople, coordinators, managers, and customers.

The position works in operating facilities and outdoors, where employees encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. It involves frequent computer keyboard use while reading a screen, continuous talking or hearing, and regular sitting, standing, walking, or climbing. Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds is required. This is a safety-sensitive position. Initial hire requires passing a pre-employment background check, drug test, and driving record check.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to present and sell to customers at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask to meet customer needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and driving record check.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to organize and independently manage time.
• Solid administrative skills.
• Related experience may include account management, counter sales, rental sales, parts sales, or customer service representative work.

Responsibilities

• Engage with current and prospective customers to build lasting relationships in person, by telephone, and by email.
• Manage rental orders and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requests.
• Communicate with salespeople, coordinators, managers, and customers, providing accurate quotes and fulfillment updates.
• Educate customers about the equipment needed for their tasks.
