About The Position

As an Associate Account Executive, you will thrive in a high-velocity, outbound sales environment where your influence is the deciding factor in our growth. You are responsible for identifying and signing up new customers who require a consultative partner to navigate their hiring needs. This is a high-volume, short-sales-cycle role where your primary mission is to bridge the gap between a prospect's challenges and our solutions. We are looking for a "closer" who isn't afraid to pick up the phone, drive the conversation, and guide customers through a seamless buying process. ZipRecruiter’s world-class training program, known internally as Dev Bay, is designed to set you up for long-term success at ZipRecruiter and beyond. We don’t just encourage development, we live it. Upon starting in a sales role, you’ll begin with one week of new-hire onboarding, followed by 7 weeks of in-depth, hands-on, and highly rigorous sales training. This includes structured learning, consistent role playing, and live call practice to ensure you’re building real-world skills from day one. The goal is to prepare you for a seamless transition into a full quota-carrying role within your department. While you are eligible to earn commission during Dev Bay, the primary focus is on mastering a strong foundation of skills that will enable you to exceed your goals not just early on, but throughout your entire career.

  • Strong dedication and the energy to maintain high call volume daily.
  • Ability to conduct professional and compelling business conversations.
  • Proven ability to multitask and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High comfort level with screen-sharing and digital presentation tools.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding benchmarks.
  • High level of adaptability and a positive attitude when facing challenges.
  • Coachable and the ability to integrate feedback quickly.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance, along with consistent adherence to scheduled work hours, is an essential requirement of this position

  • B2B/B2C sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly new business goals.
  • Maintain active daily engagement with assigned leads via a minimum of 60+ phone calls (12+ conversations).
  • Execute call and email campaigns to onboard new accounts.
  • Conduct live screen-share presentations and customer product demos.
  • Manage a high volume of daily transactions in a fast-moving sales cycle.
  • Skillfully handle phone conversations and professional email follow-ups.
  • Manage the full life cycle of the sales process from initial contact to closing the deal
