About The Position

Braze is hiring an Industry Marketing Lead focused on Retail & Consumer Goods to own how the company positions and markets its customer engagement platform in the retail market. This senior strategic partner will work with Sales, Customer Success, Demand Generation, Product Management, Partnerships, company leadership, and other marketing teams to build Braze’s retail business. The role sets industry strategy and narrative, leads retail product launches, creates scalable field plays, and develops solutions addressing retail marketers’ challenges. The position includes defining priority retail segments and go-to-market approaches, refining positioning with customer and competitive insight, and developing messaging for executive audiences. The lead will connect product capabilities—including AI—to retail needs such as abandoned carts, peak-season pressure, loyalty, and post-purchase engagement. They will also represent Braze with customers and at selected industry events, bring market insight back to internal teams, support strategic pursuits, and develop customer and partner proof points. Success is measured through retail win rates, pipeline and bookings from retail plays, sales-cycle length and deal size, adoption of launches and plays, seller certification, and new public retail customer stories. In the first 90 days, the hire will learn from retail customers, sellers, and partners and lead retail messaging and partner storylines for Shoptalk. The role is based in the United States, with listed locations in Austin, New York City, San Francisco, and Chicago.
