About The Position

The Industrial Quotes Coordinator researches products, builds contact bases for specific products, collects pricing and product data from vendors, and submits bid packages to customers. The role works with management and teams across inside and outside sales, planning, purchasing, logistics, and operations. It supports customer requirements and company profitability by researching product capabilities, negotiating cost reductions with suppliers, and helping optimize product and freight spending. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in a professional office environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand. The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and requires no travel.

Requirements

A two-year degree or equivalent work experience.
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
Ability to conduct product research and build contact bases for specific products.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of work experience in quotes or sales.

Responsibilities

Communicate and work with management, inside and outside sales, and teams in planning, purchasing, logistics, and operations.
Communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
Collect pricing and data from vendors.
Negotiate cost reductions with suppliers.
Participate in team strategy to optimize product and freight spending.
Submit bid packages to customers.
Follow company policies and applicable Texas and United States laws.
Meet deadlines before they are due.
Develop and maintain product knowledge and use different methods to research product capabilities.
Identify how to meet special customer requirements while maintaining efficient operational flows.
Identify issues affecting company profitability and implement field methods that maximize overall company profit.
Build a contact base for specific products.
Create improvements and make changes when necessary.
