About The Position

East Penn Mfg. is hiring an Industrial Service Technician for its Tri-City Industrial Power facility in Miamisburg, Ohio. This field technician role involves daily travel to customer locations within the Miamisburg and Dayton territory and weekly travel to the local facility to restock parts and supplies for the service vehicle. A company service vehicle is assigned for work assignments and customer visits. The role may require infrequent overnight travel and mandatory overtime. The position offers a starting hourly wage of $26.50 or more, depending on industry experience, and paid on-the-job training.

Requirements

Mechanical ability.
Strong electrical background; AC/DC experience is preferred, with basic knowledge of 240V three-phase and 480V three-phase.
Strong communication skills.
Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
Customer-focused mindset.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
The ideal candidate currently resides in the Greater Miamisburg, Ohio area.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Mechanically install, maintain, and service industrial batteries, chargers, and battery-charging equipment at customer facilities.
Respond to customer complaints and equipment that is down.
Travel daily to customer locations in the Miamisburg and Dayton, Ohio areas.
Evaluate batteries and charging equipment.
Make on-site repairs to batteries and chargers.
Create and maintain documents about customer fleets, including equipment type, amp-hour ratings, repairs, recommendations, and billing.
Travel weekly to the local facility to restock parts and supplies for the service vehicle.
Maintain regular attendance.
Work mandatory overtime.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
