About The Position

East Penn Mfg. is hiring an Industrial Service Technician for its Tri-City Industrial Power facility in Miamisburg, Ohio. This field technician role involves daily travel to customers in the Miamisburg and Dayton territory and weekly travel to the local facility to restock the service vehicle. A company service vehicle is provided for work assignments and customer visits. The role suits a motivated, independent, customer-focused person with mechanical ability, strong electrical knowledge, and good communication skills. The starting hourly wage is $26.50 or more, depending on industry experience; individual pay also depends on work location and job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training. The position reports to the Service Manager based in Miamisburg and may require infrequent overnight travel.

Requirements

Mechanical ability.
Strong electrical background; AC/DC experience is preferred.
Basic knowledge of 240V three-phase and 480V three-phase electrical systems.
Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and service industrial batteries, chargers, and battery charging equipment at customer facilities.
Address customer complaints and equipment outages.
Travel daily to customer locations in the Miamisburg and Dayton, Ohio areas.
Evaluate batteries and charging equipment.
Perform on-site repairs of batteries and chargers.
Create and maintain documents about customers’ fleets, including equipment type, amp hours, repairs, recommendations, and billing.
Maintain regular attendance.
Work mandatory overtime.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
