Independent Optometrist - Walmart
About The Position
An independent optometrist leases space inside a Walmart store and takes a leading role in patient care related to eye and vision care, as well as general health and wellbeing. The independent lease holder can establish practice days and hours, control the patient schedule, set the fee schedule, and retain 100% of exam and professional fees. For fair market value, the lease holder may opt into equipment and instrumentation, and administrative and/or optometry technician support services where permitted by state law. This is not employment with Walmart Inc. or an entity owned by Walmart Inc. The role is an independent lease arrangement, not an employment relationship.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state optometry license.
- Ophthalmologist MD or DO from an accredited school.
- Valid state ophthalmology license.
- General liability certificate.
- Professional liability insurance certificate.
