Independent Optometrist - Walmart
About The Position
An Independent Optometrist leases space inside a Walmart store and takes a leading role in patient care related to eye and vision care, as well as general health and wellbeing. As an independent lease holder, the optometrist establishes their practice days and hours, controls their patient schedule, sets their fee schedule, and keeps 100% of exam and professional fees. For fair market value, the optometrist may opt into equipment and instrumentation, administrative support, and/or opt-tech support services, if allowed by state law. This is not employment with Walmart Inc. or any entity owned by Walmart Inc.; the relationship is an independent lease arrangement.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state optometry license.
- Ophthalmologist MD or DO degree from an accredited school.
- Valid state ophthalmology license.
- General Liability Certificate.
- Professional Liability Insurance Certificate.
Responsibilities
