Independent Optometrist - Walmart
About The Position
An independent optometrist leasing space inside a Walmart store provides eye and vision care and contributes to patients’ general health and wellbeing. The independent lease holder has autonomy to establish days and hours of practice, control the patient schedule, set the fee schedule, and keep 100% of exam and professional fees. For fair market value, the lease holder may opt into equipment and instrumentation, as well as administrative and/or opt-tech support services where permitted by state law. This is not a position of employment with Walmart Inc. or its subsidiaries; the relationship is an independent lease arrangement.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state optometry license.
- Ophthalmologist MD or DO from an accredited school.
- Valid state ophthalmology license.
- General Liability Certificate.
- Professional Liability Insurance Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Provide eye and vision care and support patients’ general health and wellbeing.
- Establish days of practice and hours of operation.
- Control the patient schedule.
- Set the fee schedule.
- Provide and maintain required liability insurance certificates for the lease agreement.
