Independent Optometrist - Walmart
About The Position
An independent optometrist leases space inside a Walmart store and takes a leading role in patient care related to eye and vision care, as well as general health and wellbeing. The lease holder operates independently and can establish their days and hours of practice, control their patient schedule, set their fee schedule, and retain 100% of exam and professional fees. For fair market value, the optometrist may opt into equipment and instrumentation, as well as administrative and/or opt-tech support services where state regulations allow. This is not employment with Walmart Inc. or an entity owned by Walmart Inc.; continuing through the process indicates that the applicant understands no employment relationship is being created.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state optometry license.
- General liability certificate.
- Professional liability insurance certificate.
