In-Home Traveler Physician Full Time - Ohio
About The Position
Signify Health, part of CVS Health, is seeking a full-time physician to provide In-Home Health Evaluations and help bridge gaps in care. The physician primarily travels, potentially up to 100% of the time, across a defined coverage area based on business needs. Travel may include overnight hotel stays, car rentals, and flights. Multiple state licenses may be required depending on the coverage area. Visits last about 45 minutes and take place in health plan members’ homes. They include a medication and medical history review, a physical evaluation, and additional diagnostic tests when ordered by the person’s health plan. Physicians use an iPad and clinical workflow and are not required to prescribe medicine, order lab tests, or change a person’s current treatment regimen. Virtual visits may also be conducted as needed. The primary workplace is members’ private residences, which may contain household pets, secondhand smoke, or other airborne allergens or irritants. The role requires the ability to perform duties comfortably and safely in these varied environments.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted physician license(s) in the coverage area(s).
- Ability to obtain and maintain multiple state licenses in coverage areas as required.
- Ability to comfortably and safely perform duties in homes that may contain household pets, secondhand smoke, and other potential airborne allergens or irritants.
Responsibilities
- Conduct In-Home Health Evaluations and build trusted relationships with health plan members.
- Review members’ medications and medical histories and perform physical evaluations.
- Provide additional Diagnostic & Preventive Services, such as spirometry, diabetic eye exams, and bone density screening, as indicated or ordered.
- Conduct virtual visits as needed.
- Travel locally and within licensed states, with travel needs determined by business requirements.
- Work as a clinician colleague in accordance with the requirements of the specified role.
