About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Austin, Pflugerville, Milwood, Moores Crossing, South Austin, Rollingwood, West Lake Hills & Daffan - Texas. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate production dashboards, allowing veterinarians to focus on providing compassionate end-of-life care with ample time for each family. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, emphasizing a commitment to not using non-compete agreements, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking a less demanding pace than general or emergency practice, those returning to medicine after a break, or individuals building a schedule around family needs. The core of the role involves handling difficult conversations with compassion, dignity, and respect, and providing meaningful end-of-life care.

Requirements

DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
Weekend Availability (Rotational)
Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
Professional Communication Skills
