About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, including Huntersville, Belmont, Harrisburg, and Matthews. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate production pressures. The focus is on providing compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, and importantly, does not utilize non-compete agreements, allowing veterinarians to build their careers on their own terms. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking a more meaningful pace than general or emergency practice, doctors returning to practice, or those building a schedule around family commitments. The ideal candidate excels at difficult conversations and finds fulfillment in providing end-of-life care.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
• Weekend Availability (Rotational)
• Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
• Professional Communication Skills
