About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Houston, Katy, Richmond, Houston Heights, Pearland, Sugar Land, and Pasadena, Texas. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate production dashboards. The focus is on providing compassionate end-of-life care with adequate time for each family. Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led veterinary practice that explicitly does not use non-compete contracts, allowing veterinarians to build their careers on their own terms.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
• Weekend availability (rotational)
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
• Exude compassion, dignity, and respect to all
• Professional communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve pet families across Houston and surrounding areas with in-home hospice and euthanasia services.
• Conduct end-of-life care appointments with compassion, dignity, and respect.
• Communicate professionally with the team and pet families.
• Work independently in a mobile veterinary environment.
