About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Seattle, SeaTac, Medina, and Lynwood, Washington. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate production pressures. The focus is on providing compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care. Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led practice that explicitly does not use non-compete contracts, allowing veterinarians to build their careers on their own terms. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking a less demanding pace than general or emergency practice, those returning to work, or individuals needing a schedule that accommodates family life.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
• Weekend availability (rotational)
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
• Exude compassion, dignity, and respect to all
• Professional communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services for pets.
• Conduct difficult conversations with compassion, dignity, and respect.
• Work independently in a mobile veterinary environment.
• Manage a self-managed schedule.
• Communicate professionally with the team and pet families.
