About The Position

The Imaging Specialist works under the general supervision of the Manager, Solution Engineering Group, creating customer images to specifications provided by a Solution Architect. The role develops and documents work instruction documents (WIDs) throughout the project lifecycle, creates and tests test units to confirm components meet specifications, and ensures imaging work adheres to quality measures. The Specialist also provides technical support to the imaging team and maintains a database of customer images and WIDs. The role provides custom imaging services for assigned customers and works closely with Project Coordinators and Solution Architects to ensure work is accurate, meets quality measures, and is delivered on time. The Specialist creates and tests master images, obtains customer approval for images and WIDs, documents instructions for technicians, and supports technicians in following those instructions. The position requires an associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. One or more of the listed certifications are desired: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, or TIA Network+. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware and the ability to design and build images based on customer requirements.
Technical aptitude and ability to absorb and apply newly learned technical skills.
Excellent knowledge of operating systems to ensure proper configuration.
Strong working knowledge of imaging software.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and quickly resolve problems.
Basic knowledge of PowerShell and data-capture techniques.
Advanced configuration skills and ability to help customers improve business goals through high-quality IT solutions.
Excellent technical writing skills and proficiency in developing technical documents for image builds.
Excellent project organizational skills.
Proficiency in technical process and procedure design.

Nice To Haves

One or more of the following certifications are desired: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, or TIA Network+.

Responsibilities

Provides custom imaging services for assigned customers.
