HVAC Install Apprentice
About The Position
As an HVAC Install Apprentice, you will support licensed technicians and installers with setting up and installing heating and air conditioning systems in homes and businesses while developing hands-on trade skills. The role assists with installation and replacement work, including ductwork and wiring, and involves preparing tools and work areas, carrying out basic tasks under supervision, following project instructions and safety requirements, maintaining job sites, documenting work, and communicating with customers and coworkers. This is a field-based role with daily travel to residential and commercial job sites in the San Marcos, California area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Willingness to learn HVAC installation practices and safety protocols.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

- Enrollment in or interest in an HVAC apprenticeship or trade school program.
Responsibilities
- Assist HVAC installers with the setup, installation, and replacement of HVAC systems, including ductwork and wiring.
- Prepare tools, materials, and work areas; perform basic measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembling under supervision.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and project instructions from senior technicians, ensuring work meets building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites, and document work performed and time logs as required.
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers, and participate in training and safety meetings to build HVAC trade knowledge.
