C. Woods - HVAC Install Apprentice
About The Position
As an HVAC Install Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced Lead Installers to learn the HVAC trade and develop the skills needed for a long-term career. You will assist with residential HVAC installations, help remove and replace equipment, and learn installation procedures, electrical connections, and duct modifications while following safety protocols and company standards. The role also involves working in customers’ homes and delivering exceptional customer service. C. Woods is now Ace Hardware Home Services. The company provides residential maintenance and home repair services and emphasizes helpful service to local communities. This position includes paid training and a structured 2–6 month development program, with an advancement path into HVAC Installer and Service Technician roles. The position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn a skilled trade.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
Nice To Haves
- Previous construction, maintenance, warehouse, trade school, or mechanical experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential HVAC system installations.
- Help remove and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment.
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
- Learn proper installation procedures, electrical connections, and duct modifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and company standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while working in customers’ homes.
