About The Position

The HVAC Install Apprentice works alongside experienced installers to learn how to install residential HVAC systems from start to finish. This career-building role provides hands-on field experience and training in Goettl’s clean, safe, code-compliant, and customer-focused installation practices. The apprentice develops technical confidence and the habits needed for long-term success in the trades.

Requirements

Have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn in the field.
Be able to follow instructions, checklists, and safety standards.
Be comfortable working in homes, on ladders, and in varying conditions.
Be able to pass a background check and drug screen upon offer.
Have an active driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record.

Nice To Haves

Recently completed HVAC trade school or relevant experience.
A committed and progressive work history.

Responsibilities

Assist with residential HVAC system installations, from removal to final setup.
Protect customer homes using proper coverings and clean work practices.
Follow Goettl checklists and standards to support high-quality installations.
Document installations using required photos and job data.
Learn to gather installation metrics, including static pressure, refrigerant charge, and amperage.
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with code.
Participate in ongoing technical training and skill development.
Deliver an outstanding customer experience on every job.
