About The Position
The HVAC Install Apprentice assists with installing, inspecting, and completing customers’ heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. The apprentice learns to handle, install, and repair HVAC equipment, communicate with customers, and work under the direct supervision of a lead installer.
Requirements
- Ability to adapt to a changing and growing work environment.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and communicate well with customers.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Self-motivated team player.
- Good understanding of the HVAC installation process.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of HVAC equipment installations under the detailed and general direction of HVAC Install Leads and Supervisors.
- Assist with HVAC mechanical and electrical systems installation work through completion.
- Follow work plans, assigned and prioritized tasks, work schedules, and quality-control tests.
- Follow on-the-job training.
- Complete records and installation paperwork when required.
- Learn HVAC operating principles, workplace safety practices, and general OSHA standards related to HVAC work.
- Interact and communicate with customers.
