HVAC Install Apprentice
About The Position
Paschal is seeking an HVAC Install Apprentice to perform residential and light commercial HVAC installation work under the direction and direct supervision of HVAC Install Lead Technicians and Install Supervisors. The apprentice follows work plans, assigned tasks, schedules, and quality-control procedures while learning HVAC operating principles, safety practices, OSHA standards, and installation methods, tools, and equipment. The role also involves customer service, communication with coworkers and supervisors, inventory and tool accountability, and keeping the workplace organized and clean. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Requirements

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods commonly used in HVAC installations.
- Knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods commonly used in electrical services.
- Some knowledge of electrical code requirements and safety practices.
- Ability to adapt to a changing and growing work environment.
- Professional appearance and ability to communicate well with customers.
- Ability to learn in classroom and hands-on settings.
- Computer knowledge and ability to use relevant software tools, such as timekeeping and scheduling software.
- Punctuality and ability to adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments at different locations.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC equipment installations according to directions from HVAC Install Lead Technicians and Install Supervisors.
- Follow work plans, assigned and prioritized tasks, work schedules, quality-control tests, and on-the-job training.
- Complete records and installation paperwork when required.
- Learn HVAC operating principles, work safety practices, and general OSHA standards related to HVAC work.
- Develop working knowledge of installation methods, tools, and equipment used in residential and light commercial buildings.
- Perform daily trade duties under direct supervision.
- Provide excellent customer service and help sustain high customer satisfaction.
- Communicate questions, concerns, and problems to leads, supervisors, and coworkers.
- Promote Paschal's customer-service culture.
- Maintain accurate inventory accounting and care for assigned tools.
- Keep the workplace organized, neat, and clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
