About The Position

All Hours Air is a locally owned, family-operated business providing heating, air conditioning, and plumbing services in the Reno and Sparks area. The company emphasizes quality service and installation and offers a growth- and development-focused work environment. The HVAC Install Apprentice supports licensed technicians and installers in setting up and installing heating and air conditioning systems in homes and businesses. The apprentice learns through hands-on work while helping install or replace HVAC systems, ductwork, and wiring. This is a field-based role with daily travel to residential and commercial job sites in the Sparks, Nevada area, with travel up to 25%.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand and power tools.
Willingness to learn HVAC installation practices and safety protocols.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Enrollment in or interest in an HVAC apprenticeship or trade school program.

Responsibilities

Assist HVAC installers with the setup, installation, and replacement of HVAC systems, including ductwork and wiring.
Prepare tools, materials, and work areas; perform basic measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembly tasks under supervision.
Follow blueprints, schematics, and instructions from senior technicians, ensuring work meets building codes and safety regulations.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
Document work performed and time logs as required.
Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
Participate in training and safety meetings to build HVAC trade knowledge.
