About The Position

The HVAC Install Apprentice supports licensed technicians and installers with setting up and installing heating and air conditioning systems in homes and businesses while developing hands-on skills for a long-term career in the trade. This is a field-based role with daily travel to residential and commercial job sites and travel of up to 50%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn HVAC installation practices and safety protocols.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Enrollment in or interest in an HVAC apprenticeship or trade school program.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC installers with the setup, installation, and replacement of HVAC systems, including ductwork and wiring.
• Prepare tools, materials, and work areas; perform basic measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembly under supervision.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and project instructions from senior technicians, ensuring work meets building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites, and document work performed and time logs as required.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Participate in training and safety meetings to build HVAC trade knowledge.
