HVAC Install Apprentice
About The Position
We Care Plumbing, Heating, and Air is hiring an HVAC Install Apprentice to support licensed technicians and installers in setting up and installing heating and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. The apprentice learns hands-on while assisting with HVAC system installations and replacements, including ductwork and wiring, and performs basic preparation and assembly tasks under supervision. The role is field-based, with daily travel to job sites, and offers an opportunity to build skills for a long-term career in the HVAC trade. The position is full-time in Orange, California. Work may take place indoors, outdoors, in confined spaces, or in varying weather conditions. Evening, weekend, or overtime work may be required depending on project schedules. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Willingness to learn HVAC installation practices and safety protocols.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

- Enrollment in or interest in an HVAC apprenticeship or trade school program.
Responsibilities
- Assist HVAC installers with setup, installation, and replacement of HVAC systems, including ductwork and wiring.
- Prepare tools, materials, and work areas; perform basic measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembly under supervision.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and project instructions from senior technicians, ensuring work meets building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites, and document work performed and time logs as required.
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Participate in training and safety meetings to build HVAC trade knowledge.
