HVAC Comfort Consultant
About The Position
Cranney Home Services is hiring an HVAC Comfort Consultant to conduct residential in-home sales consultations and help homeowners select solutions that meet their needs. The position offers commission-based compensation with a weekly draw against commission and unlimited earning potential for top performers. The role focuses exclusively on residential work, with no commercial projects. Success includes maintaining a 45–50% sales conversion rate, generating approximately $1.3 million in annual sales during the first full year, and delivering an exceptional customer experience from consultation through project completion.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of successful outside sales experience; home services or home improvement experience is preferred.
- Construction knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales applications.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, positive attitude and passion for helping customers.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of local building codes and residential product lines.
- Outside sales experience in home services or home improvement.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home sales consultations with homeowners.
- Build trust by recommending solutions that best meet each customer's needs.
- Measure existing equipment and properly size replacement systems.
- Design installation solutions and prepare accurate proposals.
- Perform pre-job site visits with the Installation Manager and subcontractors.
- Develop lasting customer relationships through exceptional service.
- Negotiate and close sales while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
