About The Position

The Human Resources Manager will carry out the mission and support the values of the Emmaus Community. This role requires the ability to work as a team member, follow directions, and agree to supervision by the Director of Human Resources. The position involves maintaining confidentiality of organizational information and ensuring compliance with applicable privacy regulations. The manager will also maintain data on turnover rates and other HR statistics, assist with hiring events, conduct pre-hire and post-orientation tasks, coordinate orientation, and ensure compliance with state and county mandated regulations regarding training. Other duties include leading the employee retention committee, assisting with technical login support, managing the Paycom system, assisting with benefits administration, coordinating employee evaluations, and overseeing the on-call schedule. The role also involves promoting respectful relationships between staff and individuals served and attending staff meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with labor laws, regulations & benefits administration
  • Some knowledge of the IDD/ human service field
  • Driver’s License / car
  • Act 34 clearance & FBI clearance

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data on turnover rates and other HR statistics
  • Assist Recruitment Specialist with hiring events/ job fairs/ community events
  • Conduct and follow up with Pre-Hire, Pre-Orientation, and Post-Orientation tasks including but not limited to: Reference Checks, Database and Background Checks, Physical / TB, FBI, Onboarding Trainings, and after-offer communication with new hire
  • Coordinate Orientation and Meet & Greet; conduct Day 1 and Day 2 of Orientation as needed
  • Work with Program and In Home Services to determine plan for new hire training and shadowing; create new hire training schedule
  • Work with HR Director, Director of IDD Services and Program Mangers to ensure compliance with all State and County mandated regulations regarding training, specifically Chapter 6400: 46 (a-d), 50-52 (a-c), and 162 - 169; and 196 (a-c), Chapter 6100: 141-143 and Performance Based Contracting.
  • Initiate reminders and follow up related to training and mandatory requirements ie: PE, DL, etc.
  • Run 3 monthly compliance exclusion checklists for current employees and new hires
  • Lead employee retention committee and review feedback
  • Assist with technical login support for New Hires and current employees as needed: Paycom, Outlook, Relias, Makeshift, MyODP, MedAdmin.MyODP, etc.
  • Work in the Paycom system as it applies to Position Management, Cost Centers, Shift Differentials, Geofencing, PTO Balances, Password Reset, etc., and act as primary Liaison between Emmaus HR Office and Paycom Representatives
  • Assist with employee benefits administration/ open enrollment
  • Coordinate & Oversee Employee Evaluations
  • Oversee and maintain On Call Schedule
  • Promote respectful and meaningful relationships between staff and individuals served
  • Attend staff meetings as required
  • Other duties as assigned
