About The Position

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support their Home Care division in Florida. This organization is a national leader in senior living, dedicated to serving older adults through various services including independent living, assisted living, nursing care, home care, and more. The HR Generalist will be responsible for the day-to-day HR operations of the home care division, implementing talent management strategies, cultural development, behavioral interviewing, onboarding, and performance management. Requirements

  • BS/BA degree
  • 1-5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience with HRIS
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is required
  • Must pass background screening through the State of Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day HR operations of the home care division.
  • Implement talent management strategy, including cultural development, behavioral interviewing, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Develop and execute strategic planning and operations for the department, including cost control and budget adherence.
  • Create and lead HR practices and objectives to foster an employee-oriented, high-performance culture focused on quality, productivity, goal attainment, and workforce development.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary departmental reports.
  • Generate periodic reports for management to track strategic goal accomplishment.
  • Establish and lead recruiting and hiring practices and procedures for new team members.
  • Collaborate with management on communicating HR policies, procedures, programs, and relevant laws.
  • Conduct investigations.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on the company's progressive discipline policy.
  • Lead the implementation of company safety and health programs.
  • Monitor progress of all Workers’ Comp claims for the division.
