About The Position

Plant Grow Harvest: Cochise, Arizona Full-Time. Onsite. Hourly, Nonexempt $24.00 per hour Help us build reliable People Operations as PGH grows. Plant Grow Harvest is looking for an HR Generalist to join our growing People team and support our Arizona Plant. This is a hands-on People Operations role for someone who enjoys working directly with employees and managers, brings structure to a fast-moving environment, and takes pride in making sure the details are right. The HR Generalist will serve as the primary day-to-day HR resource for our Arizona hourly workforce while owning the operational HR processes that help keep the plant stable, compliant, and supported. You will report directly to the HR Director and work closely with Operations leaders, supervisors, employees, staffing partners, and other members of the PGH team. Your Mission: Make the People system work reliably every day, with particular ownership of the Arizona Plant hourly workforce.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of core HR practices across the employee lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of employee records and HRIS administration
  • Working knowledge of attendance and corrective-action processes
  • Working knowledge of employee relations
  • Working knowledge of onboarding and termination processes
  • Working knowledge of basic wage-and-hour and employment-compliance requirements
  • Working knowledge of confidential handling of employee information
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong employee and manager support skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to follow through on commitments

  • Experience working with HRIS and business systems
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, HR Coordination, HR Generalist work, or a related role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee data and HR systems are accurate, current, complete, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Process new hires, transfers, compensation and status changes, and separations accurately and on time.
  • Maintain organized and complete personnel records.
  • Ensure employment documents, acknowledgments, and required records are properly maintained.
  • Audit employee data and proactively resolve discrepancies.
  • Protect the confidentiality of employee information.
  • Provide timely, accurate, respectful, consistent, practical, and professional HR support to plant managers and hourly employees.
  • Support the hourly employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, orientation, attendance, employee questions, corrective actions, discipline, performance management, employee relations, and terminations.
  • Ensure consistent application of PGH policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a primary HR contact for staffing partners.
  • Coordinate compliant onboarding of temporary workers.
  • Maintain accurate and current workforce rosters.
  • Ensure required worker and assignment documentation is complete.
  • Track attendance, tenure, staffing changes, separations, and workforce stability.
  • Support managers with performance, conduct, attendance, and worker-removal processes.
  • Help ensure staffing partners meet PGH's service and process expectations.
  • Identify recurring workforce issues and escalate material risks.
  • Support I-9 and employment-eligibility processes.
  • Maintain required employee records and policy acknowledgments.
  • Support HR audit readiness.
  • Identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent records and correct them.
  • Follow established HR policies, SOPs, and employment practices.
  • Escalate complex or higher-risk employment matters to the HR Director.
  • Support incident documentation and required employee records.
  • Coordinate safety-training documentation.
  • Assist with workers' compensation administration and employee communication.
  • Track required follow-up and documentation.
  • Partner with Operations and the HR Director on employee-related safety matters.
