The Human Resources Junior Associate works under the Human Resources Director. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department. The Junior HR Associate will be primarily responsible for maintaining employee personnel files, assisting with the hiring process, entering employee information into the Human Resources Management System (HRMS), and report writing. This position may also be asked to provide support to employees regarding Human Resources related inquiries. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for the mission of Gads Hill Center.

Requirements

  • 2 years of Human Resources Experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Ability to pass a criminal record and child abuse/neglect registry check.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Platform
  • A passion for the mission of Gads Hill Center.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in posting open positions to various job boards (i.e., Indeed, NPA, Paycom, Gads Hill Center Career Page, and others).
  • Assist with hiring, retention, and termination processes.
  • Create and maintain personnel files for new hires.
  • Assist during new hire orientations.
  • Maintain HR personnel files for current and terminated staff.
  • Enters data in databases and excel spreadsheets as required.
  • Assists in updating HRMS system (Paycom) to reflect current employee departments, positions, pay rates and other relevant information.
  • Creates and generates various reports at the request of Human Resources Director and/or Leadership Team.
  • Assists employees by providing answers to questions pertaining to HR processes and procedures.
  • Assists with the organization and implementation of all staff meetings and staff appreciation events.
  • Distribute staff appreciation gifts (birthdays, anniversaries, and others).
  • Assist with payroll procedures.
  • Assist with benefit administration procedures.
  • Participates in agency outreach and recruitment events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Participates in supervision meetings and workshops within the agency and outside (if applicable).
  • Participates in civic engagement activities that advance the mission of Gads Hill Center.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
