This position will have a meaningful impact across recruiting, employee relations, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HR operations, with no two days being the same. The Human Resources Generalist will partner with the HR Director and support employees and managers across multiple locations. The company is looking for someone approachable, easygoing, and enjoys working with people, but is also willing to be a dependable team player and assist where needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Human Resources work experience.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Benefits administration experience
  • FMLA and leave administration experience
  • Experience supporting multiple locations
  • SHRM / PHR Certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting from job posting through onboarding.
  • Source candidates using job boards, referrals, and networking.
  • Conduct phone screenings and in-person interviews.
  • Prepare offers and manage candidate communications.
  • Coordinate recruitment events including campus and community information events.
  • Build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Ensure a seamless first-day experience.
  • Introduce new employees to company benefits, ESOP, and HR resources.
  • Process weekly payroll, audit timecards & resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Maintain employee records within the HRIS.
  • Manage personnel files, I-9s, and E-Verify.
  • Process benefit enrollments and qualifying life events.
  • Administer FMLA and leave documentation.
  • Monitor leave tracking and required paperwork.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers.
  • Answer day-to-day HR questions.
  • Coordinate exit interviews and separation paperwork.
  • Escalate complex employee relations matters to the HR Director.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Ensure accurate HR documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Support HR audits and policy administration.
