About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner in the effective delivery of human resources across the company with specific partnership and support for divisions. This position is responsible for a broad range of professional-level Human Resources (HR) functions with a focus on compliance and employee relations. Working closely with Silvus leadership, this role exercises independent judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying employment laws, policies, and procedures and recommending appropriate actions on employee relations, policy interpretation, and compliance matters. Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Generalist, this position will support the Operations team located at both headquarters in West Los Angeles as well as Salt Lake City, UT. This role also plays a critical role in policy interpretation and enforcement, compliance monitoring, HR data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to support company goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, successful handling of multiple deadlines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced HR environment. This position is based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule. A minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of solid experience in human resources, preferably in a business partner capacity.
  • Ability to represent the company in a polished, professional, and articulate manner, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for HRBP inquiries – analyzing issues and providing guidance consistent with company policy and employment laws.
  • Partner with the Senior Human Resources Generalist on the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure compliance and a consistent employee experience.
  • Oversee the maintenance and integrity of personnel records to ensure compliance, data accuracy, and adherence to recordkeeping policies.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training and coaching programs for supervisors and employees on compliant timekeeping practices, corrective action, business unit policies, and policy interpretation.
  • Partner with division heads to provide human resource guidance and direction.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to business partners regarding leaves of absence, workers’ compensation/safety, timekeeping/attendance, and employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policy.
  • Conduct necessary workplace employee investigations pertaining to business partner divisions.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Director to design and implement performance management, employee development, and engagement programs aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with and stay up to date with relevant HR laws and regulations.
  • Analyze human resources metrics and support human resources initiatives aligned with company goals.
  • Lead or contribute to the development, interpretation, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, exercising independent judgment to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, supervisors, department leaders, and other team members to create partnerships that yield success and cohesion.
  • Independently manage or contribute to HR initiatives, applying professional expertise to improve processes, compliance, and employee engagement.
  • May require travel to other Silvus locations, including Salt Lake City, UT.
  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
