About The Position

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support their Home Care division in Florida. This organization is a national leader in senior living, dedicated to serving older adults through various services including independent living, assisted living, nursing care, home care, pharmacy services, and affordable housing. The HR Generalist will be responsible for the day-to-day HR operations of the home care division, focusing on talent management strategy, cultural development, behavioral interviewing, onboarding, and performance management. The role aims to foster an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, and goal attainment.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree.
  • 1-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience with HRIS.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is required.
  • Background screening through the State of Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day HR operations of the home care division.
  • Implementing talent management strategy, including cultural development, behavioral interviewing, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Strategic planning and operations of the department, including implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.
  • Originating and leading Human Resources practices and objectives to create a high-performance culture.
  • Directing the preparation and maintenance of necessary reports for department functions.
  • Preparing periodic reports for management to track strategic goal accomplishment.
  • Establishing and leading recruiting and hiring practices and procedures for new team members.
  • Partnering with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
  • Conducting investigations.
  • Monitoring and advising managers and supervisors on the company's progressive discipline policy.
  • Leading the implementation of company safety and health programs.
  • Monitoring progress of all Workers’ Comp claims for the division.
