About The Position

Berger Moving & Storage is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our Corporate Human Resources team in Roseville, Minnesota. This role serves as a key HR partner supporting employees and leaders across Berger's multi-state operations. The HR Generalist is responsible for employee relations, workplace investigations, leave administration, HR compliance, performance management support, and HR systems administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong employee relations and investigative skills, sound judgment, and a thorough understanding of employment law and HR best practices. This individual will play an important role in fostering a compliant, respectful, and productive workplace while supporting Berger's continued growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, company policies, and HR processes.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including gathering information, documenting concerns, and supporting resolution efforts.
  • Assist HR leadership with employee investigations involving policy violations, workplace conduct concerns, attendance issues, and other employee matters.
  • Assist with employee performance documentation, corrective action processes, and related communications.
  • Help ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant employment practices across the organization.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issue resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information and workplace matters.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws impacting Berger's multi-state workforce.
  • Assist with administration of FMLA, ADA accommodations, state leave programs, and other employee leave matters.
  • Support compliance activities, including affirmative action plans, EEO reporting, OFCCP requirements, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Assist with employment recordkeeping, audits, and policy administration.
  • Support implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and HR data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Support HRIS administration, reporting, and data maintenance activities.
  • Assist employees and managers with HR system questions and process guidance.
  • Support payroll processing and employee data changes as needed.
  • Participate in HR process improvements and departmental initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
