About The Position

Developmental Services Center (DSC) provides services across the lifespan to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Champaign and Ford Counties. The Human Resources Associate joins a positive, caring, mission-driven team focused on empowering people with disabilities to live full, self-directed lives. The role provides backup support to the HR Manager and support to DSC programs. It also provides backup to the Front Office team when additional help is needed with phones, visitors, and projects. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, based at Bradley Main in Champaign, Illinois, with an hourly salary range of $23.00–$25.00.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Previous experience working with an HRIS or a comparable management information system.
Experience in Human Resources, including areas such as benefits, FMLA, workers’ compensation, employment law, or talent acquisition.
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs; Excel experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

Provide backup support to the HR Manager and support to DSC programs.
Conduct onboarding for new employees.
Enter data and maintain the Paycom HRIS.
Audit and process monthly benefit billings.
Administer FMLA leave and case-manage workers’ compensation claims.
Participate in HR recordkeeping, reporting, and employee relations initiatives.
Provide backup support to the Front Office team with phones, visitors, and projects when needed.
