About The Position

HUB International is hiring a paid, full-time intern for its Summer 2027 Internship Program, working with the Employee Benefits team from the Grand Rapids, Michigan office. The 10-week internship runs from June 1 to August 6, 2027, and is designed to introduce college students to career opportunities in insurance brokerage through hands-on experience in areas such as client service and sales.

Interns will contribute to real business priorities while learning about HUB’s business and the insurance industry. The program includes professional development workshops, technical training, mentorship, networking with industry leaders and fellow interns, volunteer initiatives, social activities, and a local service project. High-performing interns may have the opportunity to pursue full-time roles at HUB locations following graduation. Eligible interns may also apply for a scholarship through the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers.

The expected pay rate is $22.00 per hour. HUB states that interns are classified as temporary employees; eligibility for paid time off benefits depends on applicable law, and relevant unpaid time off benefits may also apply. Requirements

• Be a college student graduating in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning about the insurance industry.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Be a collaborative team player with a desire to help others.
• Be independent and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and service teams to engage with clients and communities across the United States and understand regional needs.
• Assist with policy administration, including policies, endorsements, renewals, data management, and claims processing.
• Support analysis of U.S. insurance markets and regional trends.
• Participate in technical workshops and training sessions.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating project updates, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a local community service initiative.
