About The Position

The Houseperson cleans and services assigned hotel public spaces to meet the franchise and hotel’s standards of cleanliness and quality. The role includes handling guest requests and complaints, reporting maintenance deficiencies, protecting the confidentiality and security of guest rooms, and following housekeeping, safety, and security procedures. The Houseperson also returns and restocks the cart at the end of each shift and completes scheduled deep-cleaning or seasonal-cleaning tasks. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Full-time and part-time positions are available at the Buffalo Marriott LECOM HARBORCENTER in Buffalo, New York. The role is performed in person.

Requirements

At least one year of cleaning experience.
Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they understand.
Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

Previous hotel experience preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned hotel public areas to the hotel's established cleanliness standards.
Handle guest requests and complaints, and help ensure guest satisfaction.
Report maintenance deficiencies.
Maintain quality and cleanliness standards throughout daily assignments.
Follow house, safety, housekeeping, and security procedures.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
Return and restock the cart at the end of each shift.
Complete additional deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning functions as scheduled.
Perform other duties as assigned.
