About The Position

The Housekeeping & Operations associate ensures a safe and clean environment throughout the store by completing daily cleaning tasks effectively and efficiently. The role also supports operational processes as needed to provide an excellent customer experience, including receiving and processing products, stockroom operations, and omnichannel fulfillment. The associate uses only approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment; keeps supplies replenished and properly stored; completes required training; and performs basic equipment maintenance in accordance with company guidelines. The role also involves using Kohl’s tools and technology to communicate and share information with the store team, and greeting customers and offering assistance. Associates are expected to act with integrity, teamwork, and a customer-service mindset; use good judgment; meet individual goals; complete tasks within established timeframes; follow company policies and safety requirements; and respond proactively to direction. The position requires regular attendance, compliance with dress code and training requirements, and the ability to perform the listed physical functions. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
Verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
Ability to operate and communicate on multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements set by the company.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain duties, including stockroom operations and truck unloading.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift over 50 lbs. with a two-person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
Ability to comply with health and safety standards.
No retail experience is required.
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Clean all areas of the store, including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles, according to company practices and standards.
Use only approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Monitor chemical and supply levels, place replenishment orders when needed, and rotate and store supplies in proper containers.
Complete and maintain required chemical, equipment, and maintenance training.
Perform basic equipment maintenance according to company guidelines.
Use Kohl’s tools and technology to plan, communicate, and share information with the store team.
Support the operations team with receiving and processing products, stockroom operations, and omnichannel fulfillment when needed.
Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services.
Act with integrity, honesty, and teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture.
Use sound judgment, involve appropriate partners as needed, anticipate customer needs, and resolve issues satisfactorily.
Meet or exceed individual goals and complete multiple tasks within established timeframes.
